A few useful details

When do I need a change order?

Every time the price, the scope or the schedule changes after the contract is signed: the customer adds something, you find a problem hidden behind a wall or under the old material, or the inspector asks for something extra.

Does a credit need a change order too?

Yes. If you leave something out or swap to a cheaper material, write it down as a credit. It keeps the final invoice clean and avoids arguments at the end.

Is this a legal contract?

It is a plain template that records the change and both signatures. Rules for home-improvement contracts differ by state and country, so check what yours require. This is not legal advice.

Is anything saved or sent?

Nothing is sent to us. Your business details are saved in this browser so you do not retype them; customer details disappear when you leave the page.
